Appeal for $1m
j One of the most ambitious fund-raising ventures by a (charitable organisation in New Zealand will be (launched by the Salvation Army next month—the Red Shield appeal, with the Gov-ernor-General (Sir Denis Blundell) as patron, which will attempt to raise sl.2m The main part of the appeal will be on March 30, the date set for a New Zealand wide house-to-house collection.
