Big sales increase for B.O.S.
Sales by British Office Supplies (N.Z.), Ltd, for the first half of the current financial year was up 39 per cent says the chairman (Mr E. G. McGee) in the half yearly report.
Although expenses have also risen, they have been ! contained at a reasonable level, and all things being equal, an excellent final result is expected. Difficulties in obtaining reasonable deliveries from suppliers are proving an embar- ■ rassment. “This is the only facet which may impede the continuing upsurge in sales during the final six-month period. However, as we are backed by our own very efficient manufacturing plants, it is not expected that anything (Other than an excellent year (should result,” Mr McGee said. The directors have approved payment of a 6 per cent (6c a share) interim dividend, and a proposed bonus issue, if approved, will participate in this payout which |will be made to shareholders' ion December 7. A tax-free, one-for-five; ■bonus issue, to be made out| jof reserves, is recommended. Sufficient sums will be re-i rained in the reserve accounts, to cover the issue of bonus! shares to noteholders at the; time of conversion of the notes in November, 1976, thej directors say.
