Dom. Fertiliser profit ahead

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 13. The net profit of the Dominion Fertiliser Company,! Ltd. for the six months to September 30 was ahead of; the corresponding six months of last year, thej directors say in the half-: yearly report. The record demand in the last quarter of the 1973! financial year carried over; into the first quarter of this| year, but sales have been at a more normal level after the reduction of fertiliser! subsidies. Although it is not possible to forecast the final results for the year because this is dependent on the total tonnage for the year and in; particular on deliveries in the last quarter, the directors expect that the 1973! dividend rate of 10 per cent will be maintained. Farmer shareholders are reminded by the directors of the benefits in transferring to the rebate register before the end of the financial year. By September, 54,000 shares had been transferred to the rebate register, they say.
