Priestly chats urged
The Joint Commission on Church Union is encouraging ministers of denominations negotiating union to meet informally to establish a basis of understanding that will be of value when team ministries are established. In its ninth report to the negotiating Churches, the commission said that informal meetings of ministers would make them aware of each others’ attributes. It urged that denominations considering seminars, retreats and conferences include other denominations. Exchanges of ministers, when they were conducted in an orderly manner and fully authorised, were valuable and popular, the report said.
