Contest for nurses
(N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, Nov. 12. The Dunedin South Lions Club is organising a national “Nurse Of The Year” contest, with the final in April, and beauty is not a prerequisite for winning the title. The club says the winner will be chosen for attributes such as nursing skills, personality and poise, but not looks. The first prize in the contest, planned to raise funds for scholarships to enable registered nurses to get overseas post-graduate training, includes a round-the-world air ticket.
