* “The Press” Special Service AUCKLAND The two-day match between the Auckland Grammar and Christchurch Boys’ High first Xis faded away to a draw yesterday. Christchurch, 65 for one overnight, and chasing AuckI land’s total of 183, declared behind at 138 for eight. Auckland was unwilling to risk an early declaration and batted on to 121 for six wickets. This left Christchurch less than an hour to score 167— at least nine runs an over. Scores: Auckland Grammar 183 and 121/6 dec. (G. Jones 32, P. Verhoek 20; J. Paterson 3/33. C. Marks 3/4).
