The successful applicant will be required to attend a full-time training course in Wellington for the academic vear commencing February, 1974. On completion of the course, the trainee will return to Christchurch' for practical training and field work prior to taking the Royal Society of Health examination for a Public Health Inspector’s Diploma, in May, 1975. The salary during training will be §3758 p.a. increasing to $4150 p.a. on satisfactorily completing the course in Wellington. On Qualification the salary will be $4739 p.a. rising in four annual increments to 85712 p.a. with one further discretionary step to $5927.
