Meats rose, retailers fell on N.Z. market
The freezing companies were the firmest and the retailers were the easiest on a generally weaker New Zealand sharemarket yester day. The building and allied and transport groups eased. Stock and station agents were quiet and mixed.
Dailv volume A total of 188,750 shares were sold on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday, 23,000 more than on Monday. The total included 22,900 Bounty. Some of the most active stocks were: Consol.
