Fire after collision
i Two cars burst into flames after a collision at the corner of Durham and Brougham streets. Sydenham, about 7.30 p.m. yesterday. The cars collided front to 1 end, the rear car crashing' into the petrol tank of the; front car. Petrol splashed; {over both vehicles, and immediately ignited. The drivers. Mr R. Rick-' erby, of 10 Kidson Terrace,! Cashmere, and Mr D. C. Ab-{ bott, of 89 Shakespeare Road,; Waltham, managed to jump clear of their vehicles before the flames spread. Firemen were called to the scene, but both vehicles were badly burned out by the blaze. An ambulance was also: 'called, but was not required.; l
