Thailand landslip
(N.Z.P A -Reuter—Copyright) BANGKOK, Sept. 30. A landslide spilled part of a north Thailand village into a flood-swollen river on Saturday, burying 12 houses and about 75 persons, said reports reaching Bangkok today. The disaster, the second to hit Northern Thailand in one week, struck the 150-house village along the Ping River in Chieng Mai province, 350 miles north of Bangkok. The reports said that 13 villagers were feared dead as they were buried in a sea of mud. More than 10 acres of land bordering the river suddenly collapsed. Provincial officials said that the death toll might go ! higher. Villagers and official • rescue teams continued ! searching.
