GIFT OF PLOUGHS
Sir William Stevenson will give two ploughs to the South Auckland Ploughing ; Association to encourage ■ young ploughmen to take part in competitive ploughing. He announced the gift at ' the prize-giving ceremony held in conjunction with the , New Zealand ploughing ( championships at Glenbrook, ) South Auckland, on Saturday. It was a wonderful gesture. ■ said the president of the South Auckland Ploughing Association, Mr F. C. King. Sir William Stevenson is ; patron of the association, ; which was responsible for ; holding this year’s champion- ’ ships.
