Tenders SALE OF CUTTING RIGHTS BURWOOD HOSPITAL PLANTATION 1 The Conservator oi Forests for the Canterbury Conserv ancy on behall of the North Canterbury Hospital Board and under Sec 64 of the forests Act. 1949. invites written tenders for cutting rights as shown in the schedule below Export in log form is excluded. 2 Period of sale and for cleanup is two years, commencing on acceptance of tender; no right of renewal. 1 Conditons of sale will be in accordance with the relevant forest Service standard Agreement for Sale and Purchase of Forest Produce • Standing Timber) F.S.-DlB <a> suitably amended current as at date of issue, copies of which mav be perused at the offices of the N.Z. Forest Service at Christchurch. Inspection by arrangement with the Hospital Board Superintendent of Ground's, to be made before submitting tenders 4 Agreement to be signed be fore cutting commences and purchaser to commence operations within one n.onth after tender is accepted. Sale may be forfeited in favour of another tenderer or fully cancelled if Agreement not signed within 14 days of acceptance of tender 5 The sale will be made on an output basis with all logs either measured or tallied for volume on the forest using the appropriate Forest Service log volume table, or bv weight on Forest Service or other convenient weighbridge Purchasers may be required to produce material for particleboard for the N.Z. Forest Service, at an agreed price, from arisings from the logging operations. 8 Applicants must state in what form timber is to be utilised, and preference will be given to proposals which provide for maximum conversion and complete utilisation for all material 7 Purchaser is responsible for loading or tracking necessary to extract produce. 8 If required by the Conservator the successful ap plicant will be directed to offer for sale to a manufacturer of plywood or veneer a minimum quantity of peeler grade logs The minimum quantitv required under the SA. offered is 10 per cent. 9 Clean up; All trees are to be felled and on. completion of logging the area is to be cleaned up and all debris burnt or otherwise removed to the satisfaction of the Conservator A bond of $6OO is required to cover non compliance of this condition.
