N.Z. aid to Zambia

Sir,—Mr Kaunda has at last expressed some regret at the cold blooded murder by members of his armed forces, of two Canadian girls not to mention the wounding of an American man, while they were admiring the Victoria Falls. What is of deep concern to New Zealanders, is that this murderous thug has recently been presented with $50,000 by the New Zealand Government. The compensation for the murders promised by Kaunda, will probably, therefore, come indirectly from the New Zealand taxpayer. Until Kaunda ceases to kill people, as part of a world Communist campaign to frighten the whites away from Rhodesia, he should be ostracised by all civilised countries.—Yours, etc., A.R.M. June 14,, 1973.
