U.K. SALES
Sales of new cars in Britain rose 14 per cent in the first four months of this year, the British Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders reports. British Leyland took first place with a 32.1 per cent share of the market, compared with Ford’s 23.68 per cent share, and Chrysler’s 10.1 per cent. Vauxhall had an 8.76 per cent share.
