Duties: To be responsible to the Senior Waterworks Chemist for supervision of water treatment at filter stations and quality control of public water supplies within a region; to control the regional laboratories and staff engaged on the chemical, bacteriological examination of water samples and of miscellaneous materials connected with the water industry; to carry out such other duties as may be required. Candidates should possess a First or Second Class Honours degree in Chemistry, or equivalent, plus three years’ post-graduate experience, or, A.N.Z.I.C. or A.R.1.C., plus one year’s appropriate post-qualification experience.
