Ski shelter for day use
The George Lockwood shelter in the Temple Basin ski-field was purely a day shelter and not intended for overnight accommodation, the chairman of the Arthur’s Pass National Park Board (Mr G. Mollett) said last evening. The ski-field is within the board’s jurisdiction. He was commenting on a statement about the shelter which was printed in “The Press” ski-ing supplement on May 31. The supplement incorrectly suggested that the shelter offered both day and overnight accommodation.
