FIRM TRADING ON BUSY N.Z. SHARE MARKETS

Trading was a little quieter on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday, but most gains were held and some good rises were shown among building and allied, and stock and station agents.

M.S.D.-Spiers jumped 35c Ito 400 c in the first sale since the bonus and profit report. Neil Holdings jumped 20c Ito 280 c. Stock and station agents were prominent among the rises again. Dalgetv N.Z. rose 5c to 262 c and NMA-Wright Stephenson was 6c higher at 195 c and J. E. Wilson gained 5c at 195 c. C.P.D. gained 11c to 198 c on the report of a much 1 higher net profit, higher dividend rate, and bonus issue. Beath, D.1.C., F.T.C., and McKenzies were firmer. R. and W. Hellabv jumped 7c to 243 c on the last sale in Auckland making a rise 1 for the day of 9c. The finance companies were

easier with Broadlands down 2c at 131 c and B.N.Z Finance lost 5c to 335 c. U.D.C. and C.S.I. were unchanged. Progressive fell 17c to 275 c in sales at that price in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. The Christchurch Exchange advises that the sale of 100 K. Prosser at 195 c on Tuesday was in fact made at 199 c. Mount Hutt issue The Mount Hutt Ski Field Development Company, Ltd. has allotted 83,500 100 c shares to June 12. This is almost 65 per cent of the 8136,000 sought tn the issue. The closing date is extended to July 16.
