Average air pollution readings in central Christchurch for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. yesterday in micrograms per cubic metre were:— Sulphur dioxide: 69, low. Smoke: 58, low. Nitrogen oxides: 98, medium. Levels are: Less than 80 micrograms, low; 80 to 250, medium; more than 250, high.
