New advisory committee
Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. I The N.Z.B.C. has appointed a Maori programmes advisory committee and is also examining the initiation of special Polynesian programmes in suitable areas, the chairman (Major-General W. S. McKinnon) said in a statement. The seven-member committee would advise the cor-| poration on matters relating: to programmes for Maor people and on subjects relat-j ing to programmes about Maori people and culture t< the whole audience, General McKinnon said. The new committee, which will meet for the first time on May 16, is: Mr Haratua Rogers (Rotorua), chairman Mr Turoa Royal (Wellington), deputy-chairman; Mrs Aroha Chick (Christchurch), Mr R. T. Mahuta (Hamilton) Mr H. E. Pou (Wellington). Mrs M. Szaszy (Auckland) and Mrs W. Waiterej i (Wanganui). 1
