Fine trial by Lovely Honey “The Press'’ Special Service PALMERSTON NORTH. Lovely Honey and Kawa Reka shared the honours in training at Awapuni yesterday morning. Lovely Honey ran a first-class trial for the Air New Zealand Handicap at Tauherenikau and Kawa Reka returned a dashing gallop for the Wairarapa Nursery at that meeting. On the course proper. Lovely Honey was doing better than the Feilding second-leg candidate. Kagham, at the end of half a mile in 51 l-ssec. the last three in 38 l-ssec. Willie Quick and Royal Sign impressed in running half a mile in 53sec. the last three furlong* in 39 3-ssec. Willie Quick is aoove average and might trouble King s Romance at Feilding. El Kay, which locks a top prospect at Wairarapa, ran an I easy five furlongs in Imin ( 1 ssec. the last three in 40 l-ssec He was a hold second to Willie Quick at Otaki. On the plough. Ayub Khan completed six furlongs in Imin 18 3-ssec, the last three in 3S |3-ssec. He races in the haste: I Cup at Wairarapa. along with his stablemate. Kaukapakapa. which completed an easy five furlong* in Imin 7sec, the last three ir 41sec. On the inside trial. Kawa Rekt sped right away from Mean darra over five furlongs in lm»r 2 l-ssec. the final three in 31 l-ssec. Kawa Reka will be su’te'l hv the five furlongs at Tau herenikau. Great Oak sprinted a fast three furlongs in 36 l-ssec, and An noyance covered five easily Ir n 6sec. the last three in 4( 3-ssec Bindana jumped eight hurdle; safely, and Walk /Mong took foui in good style.
