Wool down in Aust.
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright > MELBOURNE. March 30. The joint wool selling organisation and the Australian Wool Corporation reported today that the first significant fall in prices since last November occurred this week. The market drifted downwards consistently over the three selling days, with some steadying apparent on the final day. Over the week, prices dropped by from only 1 per cent for fine Merinos to more than 9 per cent for crossbred wools. Medium and broad Merinos dropped by 6J per cent to 8£ per cent respectively. Sales were held over three . days in Adelaide, two days in Newcastle and one day in Goulburn.
