Air record claimed
A French Alouette 3 helicopter yesterday landed on the 19,340 ft peak of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain, and the French Embassy in Dar-es-Salaam claimed that the landing was the highest in the world by a helicopter. The Alouette is based in Tanzania, on a demonstration visit.—Dar-es-Salaam, Feb. 19.
