Large cray haul
Fisheries inspectors seized - a large quantity of crayfish and impounded some fishing equipment in Akaroa on Friday night. The district inspector of fisheries in Christchurch (Mr R. V. Reid) said , yesterday that prosecutions would follow. He confirmed that a truck i loaded with crayfish had been , stopped, but lie would not I give either the quantity of I crayfish seized or the likely I market value of it. He agreed also that some equipment had • been impounded. The crayfish were not undersize, he said, but there , had been other breaches of the regulations in their capIture.
