Damages for dog bite
(A'.Z. Press Assn.— Copijripht MIAMI. Feb. 18
A night-club wardrobe mistress has been awarded $7500 damages for injuries she received when she was bitten by a dog owned by the actress, Liza Minnelli. A Circuit Court jury on Friday awarded the damages to Rixa Stander, who said that since she was bitten by the dog, Ocho, she had been unable to make a sevensecond costume change.
Miss Minnelli said she had warned Mrs Stander not to touch the dog, which, she said, she had rescued when it was a starving stray in Puerto Rico.
