SOUTH TONIGHT I protest most strongly, at the showing of the film on “The South Tonight” of the slaughter of the deer. I am well aware that these animals have to be checked, but to those of us that have an animal, this kind of viewing is most unnecessary'. The interlude with the bell-ringer was very beautiful, so was the stag in the film, and all he got was a bullet. — MARGARET QUANTOCK.
