SWIMMERS’ SUCCESS
G. Dinnison (Wharenui) won the annual Hinetnoa swim on Lake Rotorua, in the North ’ Island, at the week-end, and his; club-mate, Miss L. Clark, was second. Being the first woman to fin-' ish Miss Clark was the recipient ot' a handsome two-foot carving of the legendary Maori. Tutanekai. The trophy was. donated by the sponsor of the event, the Mount Cook and Southern Lakes Tourist Company. The other Canterbury swimmer. Miss Zoe Wilson, also from Wharenui, was the second woman to finish the three-mile race, which was from Hinemoa’t-1 Point to Mokoia Island on the lake. I
