Large loss for Chrysler
Chrysler Australia, Ltd, has reported a trading loss of $3,734,518 for the year to November 30. 1972, compared with a trading profit of $6,692,663 for the previous. year. The provision for tax,! which was $637,826 lower at $181,403, covers tax payable by subsidiary companies of; $314,000, which is partly off-1 set by. an over-provision in! 1971 of $133,000. The company estimated its net Joss for the year at $3,436,746 ($5,416,434 profit in 1971). Depreciation and amortisation was $1,414,759 higher at $10,693,693 and extraordinary profit from currency changes was $297,540.
