Parents see mountain

The parents of David Moss, aged 18, of Hunters Hill, : Sydney, who disappeared i with Allan Phillip, aged I about 30, of 11 Adams Street, Hamilton, while attempting 'the grand traverse of Mount ’ Cook recently, will leave : Mount Cook tomorrow “con- | tent to accept what had happened,” said the chief ranger I at Mount Cook National Park Headquarters (Mr B. W. Thomas) this evening. i Mr Thomas said he and his senior ranger (Mr C. S. Irwin) had discussed the circumstances of their son’s dis-| appearance with Mr and Mrs Moss and this morning they! had flown over the mountgin in a ski plane. "We pointed out to them where he and his companion had left from, and the route they had intended taking. We are pleased that Mr and Mrs Moss did come over, it has cleared the air,” said Mr Thomas.
Mr V. R. Clark, a lecturer in animal science at Lincoln College, was elected president for 1973-74 at the annual general meeting of the New Zealand Society of Animal Production at Massey University last week.
