Failure to weigh in

G. J. Caird, the rider of Lady Glamour, which finished fourth in the Maiden Mile at Wingatui the Maiden Mile at Wingatui on Saturday, failed to weigh in. He was fined $25, and Lady Glamour was disqualified. Zing was promoted to fourth. D. A. Adams, the rider of Glengarnock in the Southern Cross Hack Handicap, was fined 840 and his mount was relegated from third to sixth after the race « Adams was found guilty of careless riding, causing interference to In The Dark with resultant interference to Nerium over the concluding stages of the race. Nerium was promoted to third. Cromo to fourth and In The Dark to fifth. The committee took into account the fact that the incident had occurred very quickly, and also the frank explanation given by Adams, whose previous record was also taken into consideration. ■
