Shots fired at boat
<X.Z. Pres, Association* KAITAIA. Feb. 18. A 28-year-old man was arrested on Saturday after shots were fired at a fishing boat north of Whangaroa Harbour He will appear in court at! Kaitaia tomorrow, charged with unlawfully possessing a firearm and procuring a fire- 1 arm without a permit. The Kaitaia police said two armed constables went to the scene after the Whangarei-j based Seine trawler Waipa radioed from anchorage in Tupou Bay that she had been fired on from the shore. The police took possession of a .22 rifle and some am-j munition.
