Genocide accusation
A Libyan envoy today accused President Ferdinand; Marcos of exterminating Moslems in the Philippines and i said that such genocide en-j dangered peace in South-East Asia. 12.381 tear criminals
East Germany disclosed in a United Nations document that it had put on trial 12,381 alleged war criminals between the end of World War II and January 25 this year, but gave no other details. The figure was in a note to the U.N. Secretary-General (Dr Kurt Waldheim), giving East Germany’s views on proposals for strengthening international co-operation in the detection, arrest, extradition, and punishment of war criminals.—New York, Feb. 18.
Rhodesian deaths
Rhodesian security forces have killed 26 guerrillas and captured many more since the present operations against them in the north-eastern border areas began last December. according to an Information Ministry statement. The last official figure given about two weeks ago was 18 guerrillas killed and a “considerable number'’ captured.—Salisbury, Feb. 18.
