I Buddhist ceremonies were I held in Bangkok yesterday in preparation for the investiture today of Prince Vajirallongkorn, aged 20, as the ! Crown Prince. I The Prince, a second-vear cadet at Australia’s Duntroon ! Military College, is the only son of King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit, and is the second member of a roval family to be ceremonially invested as the Crown Prince in the 900-year reign of the Thai Monarchy. The first was in 1886, when Prince Vajirunhis, eldest son of King Chulalongkorn the Great, was declared heir to the throne of Siam. '
