'Cheating’ in bridge title

(N.Z.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright) SYDNEY.

Reports of alleged cheating by members of the Indonesian bridge team in the FarEastern championships, in Singapore last month, have been sent to the World Bridge Federation, the editor of the Australian bridge magazine (Mr R. D. Klinger) said.

Mr Klinger had received a report on the allegations from a member of the Australian bridge team, which finished second to Indonesia in the tournament.

He had sent the report to the world federation and to several English magazines. “If these allegations are true, action should be taken to stop Indonesia competing in the world championship,” he said.
