TV current affairs plans

WELLINGTON, December 10.
The New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation’s plans for current-affairs programmes for 1973 were released
today by the executive director for programmes (Mr M. Rickard).
! "G, ’lery” will continue on Tuesdays and Thursdays with a new producer, Mr A. Rimtner, previously director of the programme. The present producer, Mr D. Monaghan, is at his own request being assigned to other production duties after a spell of four years in charge of “Gallery.” Mr Monaghan will produce a Saturday afternoon television sports programme, “Grandstand,” which will present sports events from the various regions on the network.
11 Mr Rickard said that the 11 present “Saturday” pro- - gramme will be replaced by f a new current affairs feature, which will follow an inr i vestigative line, to be profgrammed on Wednesdays. It ) has not yet been named. r The producer will be Mr 1 P. Morritt, who this year has been producing the magazine s digest section of the central ■ region programme. “News- , view.” 1 Mr H. Weston, who was i seconded from DNTV-2 to ‘Haunch “Saturday," will return to Dunedin.
