This bicycle was left as a Christmas present for the Prime Minister (Mr Heath) outside 10 Downing Street, by a conservation group. Friends of the Earth. The group made the bicycle with pieces from a scrap heap after they heard of Mr Heath s recent traffic-jam difficulties. However, the group was told that the Prime Minister was allowed to accept presents only from personal friends.
