Ewe and ram fair dates for Marlborough, North and Mid-Canterbury next year, are as follows:— JANUARY Friday, 19: South Dorset Down breeders’ sale, Ashburton. Thursday, 25: Blenheim adult ewe fair. FEBRUARY Thursday, 1: Blenheim two-tooth ewe and ewe lamb fair. Christchurch stud ram fair (mutton breeds). Friday, 2: Christchurch stud ram fair (wool breeds). Wednesday, 7: Ashburton ram fair (mutton breeds). Thursday, 8: Christchurch flock ram fair (mutton breeds). Blenheim open ewe fair. Ashburton County finewool two-tooth ewe fair, Tinwald. Friday, 9: Christchurch flock ram fair (wool breeds). Monday, 12: Kaikoura ewe fair. Thursday, 15: Ashburton County strong-wool twotooth ewe fair.
Friday, 16: First Coalgate ewe fair. Monday, 19: Amberley southern ewe fair. Wednesday, 21: Ashburton flock ram fair (wool breeds). Blenheim Merino fair. Thursday, 22: Hawarden ewe fair. Methven two-tooth ewe and ewe lamb fair. Friday, 23: Oxford ewe fair. Ashburton County adult ewe fair. Monday, 26: Amberley northern ewe fair. Tuesday, 27: Little River ewe fair. Ashburton County fine-wool breeders’ fair. MARCH Thursday, 1: Culverden ewe fair. Methven ram fair. Friday, 2: Methven adult ewe fair. Monday, 5: Kaikoura ram and ewe fair. Tuesday, 6: Ashburton open ewe fair. Thursday, 8: Sheffield ewe fair. Thursday, 15: Coalgate ewe fair.
