Soceer.—The English Football Association staff coach, Mr Eric Worthington, was named Australia’s first national director of soccer coaching. Mr Worthington, aged 42, is a former Queen’s Park Rangers and Watford player. Rugby.—The former Waikato Rugpy selector, Mr A. W. Edwards, will seek election to the North Island panel next season.
