Boys’ Brigade members from Motueka, Nelson and the West Coast, as well as from Canterbury, have applied to take part in the first official camp at the brigade’s new campsite at Waipara. Because of the volume of applications, registration for the camp will not be possible after the end of this week. “We are limited to 120 boys, as this is the number we can accommodate at present The number of applications is already approaching this figure,” said the commanding officer of this year’s camp (Mr W. Pearcy) yesterday. The eight-day camp, which will cater for boys aged 12 to 18, will open on December 26.
