Top price for clock
An antique grandfather clock, crafted in 1750 by the clockmaker to King George 111, brought the top price at Cordy’s antique auction in Auckland last week. The mahogany clock fell to the hammer at $2OOO. It was part of a large collection of antiques in the estate of! Major H. F. Dashwood-: Caple. A Royal Crown Derby dinner service, with red, gilt and blue decorations, was sold to a private buyer for $BOO. A Georgian mahogany . sofa table also sold for $BOO. |
