Century by Marsh (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright/ BRISBANE. The test wicket-keeper, R. W. Marsh, maintained his fine batting form with 107 not out for Western Australia against Queensland in their Sheffield Shield match yesterday. The stocky, big-hitting Marsh, who made a record 236 against Pakistan in Perth earlier this week, included 10 fours in his century. He reached the mark in 228 minutes as his fellow batsmen groped for runs on a slow pitch. When bad light stopped play 56 minutes before the scheduled close. Western Australia was 225 for seven wickets. Among the batting failures were the test all-rounder, R. J. Inverarity, who made two, and the Olympic hockey inter, national, R. Charlesworth, who was out for a duck in his first shield innings.
