Applicants must be Registered in New Zealand as a General Nurse. The Courses are of six months duration and commence on: January 29, 1973 July 30, 1973. These courses require at least six months’ experience in an Operating Theatre before commencing the Course. Experience is gained in General Surgery, E.N.T., Eye, and Cardio-Thoracic Surgery. Duties: Appointee will be required to take charge of up to 20 males offenders between 15 and 17 years of age who have been sentenced to periodic detention. Appointee should preferably be aged under 50, be a firm disciplinarian and have some experience working with groups in the community and be able to initiate Imaginative programmes for young offenders. The Warden’s wife will have a role in cooking and other domestic arrangements at the centre. She will be employed on a part-time basis. A two bedroomed flat will be available at an assessed rental.
