CATHEDRAL SQUARE REDEVELOPMENT THE CATHEDRAL SQUARE REDEVELOPMENT has caused stopping places to be relocated in the Square and Worcester Street East coming into operation on Monday, November 27, 1972. Details of the changes are depicted on the special handbills available on buses and at the Board’s Ticket Offices, Cathedral Square. Three routes out of the Square will be altered and central stopping places re-sited. (a) 10—MARSHLAND ROAD will leave the Square from its new stop opposite the B.N.Z. and run Out via Worcester Street East (instead of Cashel Street) and stops in Worcester Street East of Manchester Street and at all present stops along Worcester Street to Stanmore Road. (b) 12 and 26—ST MARTINS and HUNTSBURY will run into the Square via Manchester Street and Worcester Street East to stops located outside the Bank of New Zealand and Out via High Street and Manchester Street, and will stop in High Street at the U.F.S. Dispensary instead of Manchester/Hereford streets. All other routes leave the Square by the present route.
