New Zealand yachtsmen competing in the International One-Ton and Half-Ton Cup races in Sydney in December have been given more than 200 dozen cans of beer by Waikato Breweries, Ltd, for their trip across the Tasman and for entertaining international crews during the series. The photograph shows the supplies being loaded at Westhaven, Auckland.
The three One-Tonners —Wai Aniwa (C. Bouzaid), Pathfinder (R. Dickson) and Young Nick (P. Mulgrew) left Auckland in convoy on Saturday morning for Sydney, where the contest will begin on December 9. The three Half-Tonners —Pretender (P. Smith), Mokoia (T. Fyfe) and Kidnapper (W. Belcher) were sailing Individually to Sydney.
