Bugner has own plans
(N.Z.P. A. -Reuter —Copyright) LONDON. Joe Bugner, Britain’s European heavy-weight boxing champion, has ended speculation that he would fight Muhammad Ali early next year by agreeing to defend his European title in London on January 16. It was announced yesterday that Bugner would meet the Dutchman, Rudy Lubbers, at the Royal Albert Hall. Last week, it was reported that Bugner had been offered a fight with Ali in Detroit on January 21, but the 22-year-old Briton has decided not to take it up.
