Brothers in arms
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Nov. 7. Two brothers, one in the North Island and the other in the South Island, have been nominated for the General Election, but for different parties. A surprise for the Labour Party’s candidate for Remuera, Mr R. Stanton, was provided by his younger brother, Mr A. Stanton, who is standing as the Values Party candidate for Nelson. It was not the choice of party that surprised the Labour brother. “As far as I knew he wasn’t interested in politics at all,” he said. A letter to his brother is on its way seeking more details of his unexpected appearance in the campaign.
