Chch Customs revenue up
Revenue collected by Christchurch Customs during October rose $716,831 on the corresponding period for last year to $3,647,989. Aggregate figures for the seven months from March 31 were also higher, by $3,387,757 at $23,874,239. Customs and excise duties rose by $43,451 to $2,238,103, sales tax was $677,341 higher at $1,404,717, but miscellaneous revenue fell by $3693 to $3131, and light dues fell $268 to $2038.
