Gimeno and Smith final

Smith, strolled into the final of the French open indoor tennis tournament yesterday with a surprisingly easy victory over the Czech, J, Kodes, 6-2, 6-4, 6-1. Smith was in invincible form and Kodes could find no answer to the American’s booming serve and stinging forehand volleys. In the final, the Wimbledon champion will meet A. Gimeno (Spain), who almost as easily beat another American, T. Gorman, 6-3, 6-2, 7-5.
