A good shop window
The show Is undoubtedly a good shop window for exhibitors, manufacturers and retailers — and this year is no exception. Recently the secretary of the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association (Mr T. M. R. Maskew), received a direct telephone call from a British firm, Mayday Services. This company booked space on the ground. A similar company, Universal Livestock Services, will also be represented at the show. Not a lot is known here about these companies. They are believed to specialise in artificial breeding services. Mayday Services also runs an extensive business in relief farm labour services. A West German organisation will be represented in a special pavilion built at the show ground. Sponsored by the West German Government, it will concern agricultural services offered by that country. These are understood to range from veterinary instruments to agricultural machinery.
