Govt day-care plan ‘burden’

(N.Z. Press Association) NELSON, Nov. 2. The Dominion council of the Women’s Division of Federated Farmers has decided that it will support government day-care centres for the children of working mothers. It would be better for the W.D.F.F. to have its own centres, and thus avoid increasing the taxpayers’ burden, members decided at their three-day quarterly conference in Richmond.
