Robertson and Matheson out

The All Black centre, B. J. Robertson, will be out of Rugby for three weeks. He fractured his right thumb in the game against Cardiff on Saturday. Robertson sustained the Injury making a hard tackle during the first half.

He did not seek attention and played out the game, the Press Association reported. The loose head prop, J. D. Matheson, spent Saturday night in Cardiff hospital under observation after being concussed by a punch early in the second half. However, an X-ray revealed no fracture of his cheekbone, but Matheson is likely to be rested for a week. The team coach, Mr R. H. Duff, telephoned Matheson’s wife and family at Shag Valley Farm, in Otago, assuring them Matheson was all right. Later on Saturday night, the All Blacks went to the hospital to cheer up the stalwart prop.
